This is a follow-up of the Customizing WordPress With Jetpack’s CSS Style Sheet Editor post. I realized that some people don’t want to get stuck using plugins like Jetpack so this post is a quick “how to” on using custom CSS and a simple WordPress child theme.
One of the coolest things that the Jetpack plugin added to the WordPress admin was the CSS Stylesheet Editor. Here is the CSS code that I use to customized with my Twenty Fourteen theme with out building a child theme.
Okay, I am finished with building or customizing my websites themes for a while. I thought it was time to move back to WordPress and the TwentyFourteen theme. The first thing I wanted to do was build my own custom header image for my website. As soon as I was finished with everything I decided to post up a quick “How To” video about making a neat looking header image with Photoshop.
Here is a free pack of 10 light colored tiled background images with PSD. I was playing around with some of my patterns in Photoshop and thought that maybe some of you would like to try these backgrounds out. In the zip you will find 10 image at 200x200px and the PSD file. Have fun!
