I just finished a new WordPress theme! It’s called Gauze. The name came from the pattern I used for the background. This theme is pretty basic but I did add a few nice features that I think you all might like.

Optional featured image on post pages.
Wide page layout option.
Custom Flicker, Twitter and author bio widgets.

This theme is no longer available.

NomNom Twenty Eleven Child Theme By Zeaks

I have been happily following Zeaks for a long time now. One of the main reasons is that he is one of the most helpful WordPress designers I have ever worked with. Zeaks builds some really cool WordPress child themes. He is very thoughtful about what features he adds to his themes. His latest release is called NomNom and its awesome!

Here are some of the features that are included with this theme.

Added 3 new layouts, Wide one column, narrow width left sidebar, narrow with right sidebar.
Added 6 new color schemes.
Added round corners to wrapper
Added NomNom Options page
Added Google Font selector
Added tabbed content shortcode
Fixed dropdown menu borders (should look better with default color scheme)
Fixed errors reported by Theme Check
Added excerpt length function to compensate for different width layouts, see functions.php

GGrunge Twenty Ten Child Theme

Here is my first official child theme that I am releasing for the Twenty Theme. You can check out the demo here: http://designerfied.com/demo/. Please if you have any trouble with something let me know, I will try my best to help. Below are two screen shots of the theme. One is the home page and the other is a post page example. I have a few more in the works that I hope to be releasing in a week or two.

Transparent Twenty Ten Theme

Today I decided to messed around with the new default WordPress theme Twenty Ten. I took out the custom header. Made the wrapper and header transparent (works in IE6+). Now you have a clean, transparent looking theme with the rest of the features of the stock Twenty Ten theme.

Below are the files you need to make the changes. Remember to back up you original theme files.

After you backup your theme files. Upload and replace the styles.css and header.php files with the files in the zip that I provided.

Then upload the header-white.png to you images folder.

Then login into the admin area and upload your custom background image. To start try out the demo background image that I added.

Here is where I got the background. It’s beautiful!

The settings I would use with this design are:

– -Display Options – -

Position: Left

Repeat: No Repeat

Attachment: Fixed

Color: #FFFFFF

Easy Gallery WordPress Theme

Here is a free WordPress theme that I am releasing. Its called Easy Gallery because its easy to use! There are two plugins that you need. I included them with the theme but make sure to install the updates as they come.

If you use this theme leave the info in the footer alone. If you want to remove it, email me and we can talk about it!

Anyway, after you install this theme. Make sure to add the Get The Image and Breadcrumbs folders to your plugins folder.

The go to settings then media and set you image sizes to the following.

That’s pretty much it. Now just create a new post and make sure to upload a image. The best way is to pick the image you like the most ##first##. That way it will show up in the thumbnails on your index page.

This is not tested in IE6, so good luck with that crap!

Free DF Light Borders WordPress Theme

Well I decided to offer up the current theme that I just I built for DesignerFied. Its called DF light Borders . If you want to see the demo, well your looking at it. Theme features: easy to customize,Â large content area, 4 widgets, one for the side bar and three for the area above the footer also. The best part, its free!
