I am pretty sure TopMediaScript you can. You also could use numbers instead of star images but it will still be Ajax.
WOW! that Vidiscript is very bad! I would advise that nobody uses that pile of crap! TMS has some of the best support in the biz and is so easy to work with, thanks for this great post!

Yeah thats the problem, once they get to a certain size they are hard to manage. I use a one named Metube its free but has its limitations
